Absolutely no way should Scott brown or Johnny Hayes be near a Celtic coaching team. I hope Robbie Keane isn’t appointed but we need to stop this. What has hayes done in coaching? Scott brown still needs to cut his teeth a bit more too. Need to stop appointing incompetent folk.
I am fully dreading the charisma & entertaining football blackhole that is Keane, being dropped into a massive rebuild he’s in no way qualified for, with a staff that’s even less qualified. Thats before we even get to the issue of character. I can’t believe these are the serious options after 4 months of an extensive global recruitment process. And yes, that is sarcasm.
@imortalcelt@Selickpark I get this may be the case at times and accept that but if it’s every manager just because they’ve previously been connected. That’s not healthy or progressive
@GazJD68 Absolutely this but you get rewarded for not achieving it seems. McManus shouldn’t have been near it either but we were desperate. Jobs for life regardless of performance
@RSFORC1 To be fair I don’t want Keane as a manager but in terms of competence I’m talking more about hayes and brown. Hayes has briefly been involved with a b team and it’s been abysmal. Brown has had a stint at ayr and you can ask their fans what they think of him. So we do know.
@MarkEglinton Would be horrendous! The trip was for their badges so I hope this is so far wide of the mark. I can’t believe if it’s not Martin then it’s someone other than askou. How could you mess that up
@Selickpark Why do we need ex players involved, look at the best and most successful clubs in Europe do they fill there management with ex players no they get the best people for the job !

Police Scotland say they haven’t received any complaints from Hearts over alleged assaults on their players following the title decider at Celtic Park. Hearts say their internal investigation is ongoing.
Discussions between Celtic’s principal shareholder Dermot Desmond and Martin O’Neill over the club’s vacant manager’s role have been pushed back to next week.
Celtic had also planned to meet additional candidates in London as the search for a new manager continues, but those talks, along with the scheduled discussions involving O’Neill, have now been delayed until after the weekend.
O’Neill is set to attend the Belfast Telegraph Sports Awards in Belfast later this evening.
