Our intellectual community had a fabulous time attending the Young Democrats of Washington's annual convention. Listening to the well-intentioned future leaders of the Evergreen State express their plans for a more diverse and equitable Cascadia was incredibly insightful.

Notable topics during our gathering included if Americans and other Europeans in the United States had more reason to celebrate the country's 200th or 250th anniversary, the probable outcome of a future Quebec independence referendum, and the 2026 NATO Summit in Ankara.

Conversation during our gathering largely focused on the European diaspora of the Americas with some popular topics including whether Argentina could become a wealthy country again and if Colombia's new right-wing president will benefit the country's European community.

Some popular topics of discussion during our gathering included which countries we're rooting for in the World Cup and whether the Iran War benefits Americans and other Europeans around the world. What should be discussed next time?

After nearly 200 million Europeans voted in the European elections significant gains in the European Parliament have been made by parties that celebrate European identity and want to significantly reduce non-European immigration into Europe. What will be the results of this?

Europe is a continent not because it is physically separate from Asia but because Europeans are so profoundly unique. Wherever there are Europeans in the world there is Europe. If Europeans cease to exist in Europe it will be just another part of Asia.

If Europeans had not conquered and settled North America what might the continent look like today? Though some modern Europeans in European settler states like the United States or Canada denounce their ancestors, they would likely still be in Europe if not for their actions.

Europeans broadly support Australia participating in Eurovision, and would likely welcome other European settler states like Canada or Argentina joining. However, the inclusion of non-European countries such as Turkey, Israel, or Morocco tends to be controversial.
