Randomly found my way over here this morning. Looked at my feed. The accounts I follow aren't inactive, but also aren't the ones posting 15 times a day either.
There are typically posts from two accounts I don't follow for every post from an account I follow in my feed.
Do you remember when you joined X? I do! #MyXAnniversary I've been around long enough to remember when this platform was called Twitter. Whoa! Time flies!
@ShilohTaylor33@TristanSnell @Remote_workers_ While the Electoral College system has a lot of flaws, it has exactly zero to do with the election of a senator. Thus, any nonsense that Walker is pulling here cannot be considered a reason to abolish the Electoral College.
My general sense for when an online thing is dying is pretty good. Twitter feels like it's at a tipping point. And they're losing a lot of people very quickly.
I have no idea what comes along to fill Twitter's void. Anyway, if it goes, it was interesting reading you all!
Twitter Right Now:
Musk: *Makes a giant deal about parody accounts*
Twitter: *Sharp increase in people going in on parody*
Masses: "Who could have possibly seen this coming!?!?"
Internet Vets: *pops some popcorn*
@mattleacock @elizhargrave Not a marriage proposal, but back when my wife and I were dating we found we both enjoyed board games but we each tended to dominate certain games, so they weren't as enjoyable as they could be.
Then we discovered Pandemic and it became our go-to game.
Will Twitter now die a horrible death now that Elon is in charge? Social media platforms tend to spiral down quick when unpopular sales happen. Livejournal, I'm looking at you.
@swismiself I mean, I guarantee I'd use the wrong knife for cutting a peach, but I'm also 100% sure that your son's cooking and kitchen exposure is already greater than mine.
@ziibiing Yup. Our gym teacher also had the "If anyone fails to run the mile in a certain time, everyone has to redo it!" rule. A few of us literally couldn't run a mile in that required time, so we didn't put any effort into it in hopes of class ending without a second mile.
@swismiself He's just in the process of becoming Spider-Man. The arms getting bigger is just a result of his superhuman strength manifesting. 🦸
In all seriousness, yes, he should go get that checked out.
@alextwig82@TalkinBaseball_@JomboyMedia As a fellow 40-something, I feel you. Sadly, I'd need a time machine to go back to when I was, like, 10 and start working out properly to achieve Machine-Level athleticism.
I don't think that'd add another 7-8 inches of height to me though!
@SamYatesSmith1 @lucite_spine @Honey_Kr @jonrog1 Based on how well the final few seasons of GOT went over, that isn't exactly a compelling argument in favor of doing a series based on the main series.
@DanHayesMLB Schedule seems fine, as far as having to play every NL team goes. Still absolutely hate the idea. Much rather play mostly AL teams with the interleague games sprinkled in if we have to have them.
