@KonaElectric Picking holes in what? I was disputing some comments that were completely incorrect. I was not trying to promote our products or discredit any others.
@JordeeGee @106Euan@GreenJimll@OctopusEV you came on Twitter and said that from summer anything other that a smart charger was not allowed. I corrected you and now you’ve got the hump. Good luck to you, you have a nice looking charger and you will do well, you don’t need to discredit competition with lies
@106Euan@GreenJimll @JordeeGee @OctopusEV Most folk want certainty, like I said they want that backup knowing they can go to a hospital in the middle of the night etc. Anyways, Whole reason I joined in this conversation was to address a couple of untruths that were said. Knock yourself and get a smart charger,m 👍👍
@106Euan @JordeeGee That’s the point, press override button knowing you’ll have a full charge ASAP, or leave it upto the grid operator overnight not 100% knowing how much charge you will have. What if your kid gets sick in the night and you need to go to hospital etc? 90% + will override it.
@106Euan@GreenJimll @JordeeGee I don’t, I just charge my Ioniq when down to about 30miles or if I know I need a full battery, in summer I use my granny lead so can use the PV to charge it.
@GreenJimll @JordeeGee @106Euan Agreed, people will have ‘smart’ because of the grant. My issue is with the assumption from OLEV that people will be ok with the grid operator choosing how and when you charge, most people will override it
