The International Coalition of States for the Return of Deported Ukrainian Children met for the first time today.
Forcible deportation is one of this war’s most heinous crimes and a clear indicator of Russia’s genocidal policy.
The world knows that Russian crimes against Ukrainian children and families are not isolated cases but rather part of an orchestrated effort by the Russian state system. The relevant work of the International Criminal Court and the arrest warrant for the main Russian criminal demonstrate unequivocally that the deportation of children, and all Ukrainians, will not go unpunished.
I thank everyone who is already working with Ukraine to return the children. Thank you for your efforts and kind hearts.
