Hello Monash Prato!
Super excited to be involved in the PhD Grand Challenges program here in Italy 🇮🇹 I am here with 50 other Monash PhD students from many disciplines and campuses to work together on solving local challenges in Prato 😊
Negativity had the most engagement, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that all online communication should be problem-focused - more research is needed to understand the food waste messages that inspire consumers to act 🌱
This #interdisciplinary analysis identified key priority areas for future food waste communication, such as #cost and #packaging. By listening to the conversation, stakeholders can tailor future campaigns and interventions to address the needs of the public
Re-licious was a successful pilot intervention demonstrating the importance of food waste education in schools. We would love to expand this program in the future to help young people to be more #sustainable🌱🌏

Qualitative feedback indicated that adolescents enjoyed learning about food waste at school, felt more knowledgeable about food waste, and were more capable of cooking at home independently🍴
Today @MonashNutrition we mapped our research, education and engagement activities against the @UN’s #SustainableDevelopmentGoals 🌏

🌱 Expose opportunities to do better
