2006 is an amazing, wonderful, diverse, brilliant, and FUN format

I made an effort this summer to finish a few decks and bring my gauntlet to a total of 16 decks, including a balance of unique basic, stage 1, stage 2, ex, and non-ex Pokemon. Super happy with how it's turned out!

@TrainerJEvans 3-3-3 Dragonite is amazing. I was first introduced to attacking Dragonite with the 05 Dragtrode version long ago. It just feels right to have a 120 HP Single Prize Attacker who can swing for 50-100 damage AND be healed with Briney!

Dragtrode (2006) Update

I did end up switching to 3 Dragonite and adding 2 Briney. I love attacking witch Dragonite, and Briney is my favorite Supporter. It feels incredible in this deck, unlocking Dragonite as a tanky attacking option.

List is Cara Querin's (@ShiningEspeon3). This deck is SO fun to play! Definition of peak 06 imo.

I would love to add a Briney, and possibly a 3rd Dragonite. But the list has worked for me for the last decade, so I definitely recommend giving it a try

I just finished a deck I haven't made public yet, so I'm currently at 19 decks built for the format.

@karrotstyx 2-1-2 Dragonite sounds difficult. If anything, a 3-2-3 Dragonite would make more sense.

Most decks try to target Dragonite if possible, such as LBS. That's how vital it is to the deck

@karrotstyx Metagross Delta is rumored to be getting reprinted in CEL 30, so that should help even more! Metanite is a very fun deck to have in a gauntlet

RaiEggs for 2006! 🔩🥚 Should have built this format a few years ago but I got wrapped up in other formats and now its a nightmare price-wise. Still have some cool decks planned and want to build a few to play in RS-PK as well. 1/5

@karrotstyx I say Dragtrode because this gauntlet would have a lot of Battle Frontier decks, and not many decks that get hit BY Frontier. So adding a deck that gets hit, like Dragtrode/Metanite/LBS would help out with your stadium economy. Dragtrode is also a Desert Ruins deck, which helps!

@karrotstyx That's a great selection of decks! Lunasol and Ludicargo generally have a tough time against RaiEggs (and Ludicargo also has a tough Lunasol matchup 😅)

That set of 7 will make for a fun gauntlet. Dragtrode would round it out very nicely as an eighth deck if you're up for it!

Played some 2006 Rock Lock this weekend and am thinking of improvements.

A Holon's Magneton or two would be great to find off Celio. Warp Energy could also be good.

Maybe cut Jirachi, Switch, DRE for Magneton, Warp Energy, and VS Seeker?

List is mine. This deck is a blast and features my favorite card in the format!

The list has worked very well for me, but I'm not convinced it is /the/ list. 4th Jirachi probably isn't necessary. Still a super fun deck!
