@kinsellawarren Probably because of physics. Via shares freight lines and high speed rail needs VERY gentle curves and hills so the train doesn't get airborne or jump off. You can't just run a high speed train on a normal track geometry which may have tight bends through towns etc.
@JeanPFournier For gods sakes look at how many different types of trainer and transport aircraft we have. Yes we currently have 1 fighter type. But look at all the others.
@moebius_strip Go to your library and get a book on bike maintenance. Buy a new shifter from your LBS. Get some metric Allen keys to remove the old one, and put on the new one. Watch a Park Tools YouTube video on how-to as well. You can do it!
@BCFerrys Worker puts stick on 24" thick sponge cushions on each front bumper in the lineup. When cushion compresses, the driver stops. a deckhand retrieves them during the sailing. Gives you at least a few more cars each sailing. Fun for kids to watch dad hit Audis with a cushion!
@ThomasDigby1@ParkBoard 1) Ocean is not Parks Board jurisdiction 2) That's a green nav. buoy not a swimming area buoy. 3) Nowhere near full speed. Better to educate jet skiers with signage at launching ramps which are within Parks Board areas. "Watch for whales/Stay out of swimming areas with buoys"
@Boenau Fell off my bike pedalling uphill - chain slipped off the chainring. No cars nearby to blame! I hit my head and broke my collarbone. ER doctor pointed to the dent in my helmet and said if you hadn't been wearing a helmet, you'd likely be badly brain damaged. Wear a helmet kids.
@NipseyHoussle Was in a shipyard in southern US recently. They said their welders needed/wanted to work about 55 hrs per week to have a good enough income. Working on Saturday was mandatory there.
