Enjoyed my 2 years at the club with a great bunch of lads. Thank you.

Six days, three trophies for the Academy!

The Chester FC Academy has had a fantastic week on the field, winning three cup competitions in the space of just six days.

It started last Tuesday at Burscough FC when, in an all-Chester FC Final, the Youth Team defeated the Colts 2-0 to claim the NWYA Open Cup.

Then, over the Bank Holiday weekend, The Colts went back to Burscough on Sunday to defeat Curzon Ashton 2-1 - winning the NWYA Development Cup.

On Monday, a third trophy was won at Wythenshawe Town as the Youth Team defeated AFC Fylde by two goals to one to clinch the NWYA George Heslop Neil Thomason Cup.

Congratulations to the Colts and the Youth Team on their cup successes and doing us proud! 💙

Two weekends and two Player of the Year awards for last season’s youth football efforts. Plus, a Young Player of the Year for a debut season involved with the firsts. Attitude and quality, combined with commitment and hard work pays off! Congratulations @EvanJoL08

[JL_WizzoVerse @wizzoverse]

A fantastic group of people throughout! Huge thanks to everyone at this wonderful club @RainhillTownFC. @EvanJoL08 really enjoying the experience of senior football, alongside his youth football commitments. Roll on next season!!

Well organised and disciplined first half performance restricted top of the table to minimal chances. Early second half set-piece was the heart breaker, although the lads had chances and were in the game. Well done @EvanJoL08 on 90 minutes and a very accomplished performance.

[JL_WizzoVerse @wizzoverse]

@EvanJoL08 putting together a decent goal tally with 5 in 6. Well done 👏👏👏https://t.co/WQsO6sDwl0

Tough, physical outing for the youth lads in the County Cup last Saturday. @EvanJoL08 bags another to go to 5 in 6. Right result in the end and into the hat for the next round.

[EL08 @EvanJoL08]

2 games for Town yesterday. Happy with the points for @town_ydL35 and a bit disappointed to share points at Chester Nomads with @RainhillTownFC 1sts. Another 90 for Warrington Town 18s today in a solid cup win. Plenty of minutes!

[JL_WizzoVerse @wizzoverse]

Quality©️performance for @EvanJoL08, Sam and the lads. Twitchy finish after controlling the majority of the game. But good to take the points again in a tough league. Some solid minutes for the first team away at Chester Nomads in the afternoon as well!

Fantastic effort and attitude from this group!! @EvanJoL08 thoroughly enjoying his opportunity under the guidance of @RainhillTownFC and @town_ydL35. Deserved the result yesterday.

🚨 RAINHILL TOWN RESULT 🚨

We progress in the cup, can’t complain today every player from 1-16 was spot on… 3 under 18s getting good minutes 🫶🏻 Thanks to @sthelenstownfc for the game…

[EL08 @EvanJoL08]

@wizzoverse @town_ydL35 Glad to get the result. Shame someone can’t spell my name😄

@wizzoverse @town_ydL35 @RainhillTownFC Thanks for the MOTM. Disappointed to lose last weekend, after a good team performance deserved a result. Cup action Saturday!

[Rainhill Town FC @RainhillTownFC]

@wizzoverse @EvanJoL08 @town_ydL35 Probably did enough to win the game… great to have another 2 of the 18s getting minutes for the first team again 🚂🩵 the futures bright

[JL_WizzoVerse @wizzoverse]

@EvanJoL08 happy to get more minutes for the firsts, who IMO, deserved more than the point. A strong performance for the Youth team earlier in the day. But another score line that didn’t reflect the quality and effort on display from the lads @town_ydL35 @RainhillTownFC

[JL_WizzoVerse @wizzoverse]

Don’t forget, a first team and reserves performance during this week, as well. I recall, ‘A proper shift’ was the term used @EvanJoL08 👏

West Cheshire League round-up. I’m not nicking Ethan’s quality hat-trick. Ethan O’Brien x3, Me x1😀
