President @KagutaMuseveni we hope this is on tomorrow’s SONA, save this great nation, the frontline health workers, the scientists you promised to prioritize and take care of, are going to suffer terribly in these hospitals, working 24/7, working for Uganda, it’s painful for government to abandon the “soldiers with stethoscopes” medical interns are soldiers technically, they just don’t hold guns, they hold tools that save mankind.
Take care of them!
#PayAllMedicalInterns #SaveLives
@HilderKoriang This hits home. Our public hospitals already lack even the bare minimum changing /bathroom facilities for both female patients and doctors alike. It does affect productivity. #payallmedicalinterns
Me as an Intern’s supervisor I would feel so ashamed asking the intern to be on duty on time and questioning why they’re not performing to their expectation or absent while knowing they’re not facilitated and definitely thinking of how they’re going to pay rent, transport to work let alone what to eat. 💔😔
As U.M.A, we reaffirm our position that:
👉 A medical intern is not a student, but a doctor in apprenticeship.
👉 A medical intern deserves not only to serve, but also to live and work with dignity.
👉 A medical intern is not a slave.

@YusufSerunkuma@AAgather An oppressive system cannot persecute an oppressor. The true oppressors , the ones most valuable to the system ,are the ones that stay untouched year after year after year.
