@LoftusSteve It is mathematically impossible for the state pension to exist in 50 years time. We currently have a system where young working-age people are expected to contribute to a system they will never benefit from. We must reform the state pension to be sustainable.
@AlexGodofsky Why would it count? The high demand of Taylor Swift tickets clearly indicates that the population as a whole does not agree that should count as a productivity improvement
@KasperStats For some reason these rules only ever apply in one direction. If a batter is a home run short of the cycle is the pitcher expected to only throw meatballs?
My cs degree has been funny. Half of the courseworks will be marked harshly such that you can pour a month's effort in and scrape a 70%. The other half give you 100% if you submit something that matches the brief close enough. It is impossible to tell which is which.
@JustinMacmahan Interesting yeah I think this is ethically fine (even preferable to a loan in that regard) but probably not worth it for the student. The downside risk of being a bright student heading to university is very different to an athlete who can be injured at any point
@NaeNaeTakes A fantastic reminder that the venn diagram of skills that make you a good MLB player and skills that make you a good MLB GM are two circles
