@londyloo Would highly recommend inquiring about the health insurance policy and what is covered. Residency is a long time and having coverage is critical, great perk if healthcare is fully covered for you and dependents
How you approach a "low-level" or "menial" job will be the same as you approach larger and more complex jobs. Striving for excellence as a surgical assistant will lead to further excellence as a surgeon!

@jzaraterod@HakeemROufkir Goal is to build confidence and repeatability no matter how you pick up the suture or which hand you designate as your post. Building trust in yourself is key. I’ll even tie my hoodie strings just to reinforce principles of how knots will lay in a macro scale
@jzaraterod@HakeemROufkir Totally agree. Deliberate, focused practice to simulate the real environment as much as possible will always pay great dividends. Practice with both hands and understand how different throws will lay in different orientations.
@R_Strobes@robertbhawkins Such an important topic. As technology advances so do the ethical dilemmas that may arise in patient care. Patient-first approach and open communication amongst all stakeholders (patient, family, care team) is essential. @AATSHQ#AATS2022
@R_Strobes@FaisalBakaeen “A good surgeon uses 2 hands. A fantastic surgeon uses 3 hands. A world class surgeon uses 4 hands.”…Must have assistant engaged and using 2 hands during operation. Words of wisdom from @FaisalBakaeen …surgical education never stops @AATSHQ#AATS2022
@R_Strobes@OnePagerICU@aakash21shah Wow! Lots of excellent content here. Always important to review the fundamentals and have it easily accessible to reference or share
