@SoftEngineer@TimSweeneyEpic Agreed! Itโs so confusing. I think a big component of the issue has a lot to do with people investing so much of their lives and identity into tools that it can feel like a personal attack to them, especially when seeing how productive these new tools are.
To this day, I still put Mass Effect 1-3 up as one of the greatest immersive storytelling experiences. The memories I have growing up and playing that series were foundational to me as a game designer. The closing of Bioware is very sad to see.
@DocBrownLloyd The power of love certainly does still remain. Thank you for all the love you have shown to your fans and the gift of your work to all of us. Happy birthday!

@gamestop The Console Wars were not petty. Like the space race, competition bred innovation we probably wonโt see again. Makes it sound like ending the war is good because unity and choice, but long term I think weโll find stagnation in innovation. Video games are now fully domesticated.
@GoldingBF @elonmusk Billions of dollars are spent developing ways to curate discovery. People were arguing about this when the first search engine was created and itโs a massive problem across industries. Without it, echo chambers are created and accounts remain undiscovered.
@Wario64 This sounds nearsighted, but they know developers will throw a fit and most will continue to pay. Really no different with their game pass for consumers. Games are big business. Right or wrong, consumers spend time with games more than any other media and continue to pay.
