When the automatic faucets don’t work for you in the bathroom do you also briefly fear that your actually dead and living a Twilight Zone episode or is that just me?
He was a mensch for this. He did a lot of stupid, evil things as president. But when he had the chance to leverage public opinion against a vulnerable minority, for personal gain, he said "no". Imagine the current crop of criminals showing even this baseline level of integrity.
Our government posts memes and videos mocking and laughing at the suffering of immigrants and refugees. This is one more sick sign that something has broken in our souls.

2/ Namely, that the increase in abortion in America is directly due to the American Evangelical believers who chose over the past 40 years to mutate the anti-movement into a political power bloc and policy-lust fulfillment machine. The Church has no one to blame but itself.
1/ Here's the thing to remember about Trump and MAGA, in general: They KNOW the truth. They KNOW what the right thing to do is. But they always refuse. They knew from day 1 that the pool issues were a botched install.
@lukestamps Completely serious. He’s who showed me Doug Wilson back in 2019, before Wilson was ever involved woth Hegseth/Trump.
This guy has been a repeal the 19th supporter since Trump 1
Nolan publicly saying he referenced her translations a lot while working on the movie and then her saying this is one of those things that reinforces why so much of the public finds academics insufferably snobbish and elitist
I have a ton of respect for Wilson's work but I get the impression she neither watches nor enjoys movies.
Which is fine, it just means she's a bit out of her wheelhouse here. Most of the things she calls out the movie for not addressing are actually addressed, just not in
Lindsey Graham on Joe Biden (2015):
“If you can't admire Joe Biden as a person, you got a problem because what's not to like? He's the nicest person I think I've ever met in politics. He is as good a man as God ever created."

It doesn’t matter if a woman is called a deacon (Rom 16:1), benefactor (Rom 16:2), coworker in Christ Jesus (Rom 16:3), apostle/prophet who outranks a pastor/elder (Rom 16:7; Acts 21:9).
It doesn’t matter if a woman functionally teaches a man (Acts 18:26), prophesies to the assembled congregation (Acts 2:17-18; 1 Cor 11), or contends by the apostle Paul’s side for the gospel (Phil 4:2-3).
It doesn’t matter if the courier of Romans (Phoebe) likely read and interpreted the book to the early church.
A woman doesn’t have authority *because* she’s a woman. It’s always a “hoax,” no matter what.
Even if she is the chief ruler over Israel, commended by God, and saves Israel (Judges 2:16; 4-5), there is always a workaround.
This is called unfalsifiability: no matter what a woman does or is called in Scripture, there’s always a reason it doesn’t count as authority.
A rule that can never be disproven isn’t being tested against the text; it’s being protected from it.
The reason why Watergate would be a 12 hour news story today is that Trump is so corrupt that Nixon seems almost quaint by comparison. Heck, the Guilded Age guys are kicking themselves for being born in the wrong century. There's much more dirty money to be made now.
