Saying sorry is only half of repentance.
There are two kinds...
The 1st says, "I'm sorry. I'm wrong." That's salvation.
The 2nd says, "I sorry, now I'm going to go this way."
One changes your eternity. The other changes your direction.
Our Lord deserves them both.
People ask, how can a good God only give one option for salvation?
Peter would flip the question. A holy God doesn't owe sinners any option at all.
One option sounds unfair until you ask what we were owed.
That fact that He gave one is grace.
One option. Fully paid.
Some things stay true whether you accept them or not.
Your doubt does not demote Him.
But inside that truth sits an invitation. No matter your history, the door is still open.
My prayer for you is that you accept the invitation while it is still available.
Time feels like it's on your side. It isn't.
Peter stood up at Pentecost and said the last days had already begun. That was 2,000 years ago.
It means your time is running out.
But hear the grace inside the warning.
The window is still open, the time is now.
Let's get after it.
Not being understood might mean you're doing it right.
When you change, the people closest to you are often the most confused by you.
Peter would say that's not a problem. That's evidence.
You cannot determine your spiritual value based on people who can only appraise the flesh.
This message was unlike anything I've shared before.
I preached Peter's Pentecost sermon in first person as Peter, from the mocking crowd to the 3,000 souls that were saved.
If you've ever felt misunderstood for your faith, this one is for you.

Pride is not just thinking too highly of yourself.
Pride is also thinking too lowly of yourself.
Pride is you thinking about yourself.
God does not need you to be sufficient. He needs you to have faith.
Stop measuring the assignment by your ability.
Measure it by His.
This can't just be a coincidence.
God gave us the Spirit on Pentecost.
The word means the 50th.
OCBF is celebrating our 50th anniversary.
Just maybe God is about to do something right here at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.
Believe with us. God is about to move!
Nobody fills a stadium to watch a huddle.
The Spirit was not given so you would feel something on Sunday. The Spirit was given so you would carry something on Monday.
The fire is in you.
The field is in front of you.
The time is now. Let's get after it.
Intuition is a feeling without a source.
Analysis is logic without illumination.
Discernment is when God's Word, the Spirit, and lived experience all say the same thing.
If only one of the three is talking, slow down.
If all three line up, move. 🙏
Once you believe in the Spirit, it is no longer a conditional covenant.
It is an irrevocable pledge.
The covenant changed at Pentecost.
The Spirit has come, and absolutely changed the game!
Many of us feel behind when it comes to the timing of our destiny.
The problem may not be our timing, but our positioning.
Are you positioning yourself to receive the promises of God?
Start preparing now, because when God moves He moves suddenly!
In every sport, there is a game changer.
A player who, at the drop of a hat, can shift momentum.
God gave us the ultimate Game Changer.
He gave us the Holy Spirit.
If you are looking for an act of God or you need a big shift in your life, seek the Game Changer.
The Holy Spirit
Courage is not the absence of fear.
It's walking in faith while you feel it.
You are not fighting for the victory.
You are fighting from it.
Take one step today that fear told you not to take.
You can't carry the Spirit and live like no one can tell. That's not humility. That's covert Christianity.
The Spirit was given to empower you to be a witness.
Choose today, to get out of the way and allow the Spirit to empower you to take your faith public.
You don't need credentials to live a life that matters.
You need availability.
God doesn't ask for your resume, H asks for our yes.
In rder to be a witness, all you need is the Spirit.
The rooms you're in, the people in your circle, those you don't know need what you carry.
Witnessing isn't a personality type. It's the assignment.
Jesus never told His followers the date. He told them the assignment.
Anyone can be patient when there's a deadline in sight.
But what happens when the date keeps moving?
That's where character actually gets revealed.
If God gave you the date today, would anything change about how you are living?
Christ work is unfinished...
As it relates to Christ on the cross, it is finished.
As it relates to His coming Kingdom, it's still loading.
The time is now. Lets get after it.
Not every delay is God saying “wait” sometimes it’s an invitation to realign with Him.
When you get back in alignment, what felt stuck can start moving again.
