@notinasituation Thanks, Jo. ❤️ I've been doing my best to keep my stress levels low enough that I don't get shingles again (still get a little pain from when I had it Dec. '22). Mike's had a really rough year, and it takes a lot of effort not to feel all of that like it's my own.
@notinasituation I mean, Enterprise is the show I've heard other Star Trek fans saying they disliked the most, so it doesn't surprise me that it wasn't the one to draw you in. Mike's been watching it and telling me about it, and it sounds like I wouldn't like it that much either.
I don't typically mention it at work, but staying healthy is important enough to me that I'm still avoiding some of the things that a lot of people I know aren't avoiding anymore. No indoor dining, no movie theaters, minimal indoor public places of any kind.
If the topic comes up at work, I just mention living with my in-laws and protecting them. And I cheerfully add that I'm enjoying how long I've gone without getting sick (not counting shingles and the UTI, but those had nothing to do with contagion).
@notinasituation From what I read yesterday, Adderall is a blend of 2 stimulants, and the stimulant Vyvanse breaks down into is the same as one of those. I'm hoping that'll mean I'll already tolerate it well. Maybe it'll even be gentler, since it's more gradual than Adderall?
@notinasituation I'm hoping it won't be a huge change from my Adderall and that that will cut down on side effects. I think my doctor said my current 15mg is equivalent to 40mg Vyvanse? So I'd probably start there.
@baearthor The Steelcase Leap v2 (without arms). I got sooooo fed up with buying a new chair every few years and still ending up with chairs that don't quite fit me ergonomically and don't support me when my muscles get too tired to keep good posture!
@baearthor I seriously need to rewatch that movie! I was young, not very well-versed in Shakespeare (but kinda into it), and much more snobby and judgmental. I didn't appreciate it at all, but I think now I would. Tumblr analysis of the movie made me realize I misjudged it in ignorance.
@honeybee_tattoo I hope we can plan some kind of something soon! It's been way too long, and Mike and I are starting to see people in person again since case numbers are lower now.
@wyrosbp90 I might do that! I'd be okay at full price with the payment plan, but it would be nice to save the money if I still get that safety net for the long-term investment.
@wyrosbp90 Tons of people seem to love the aeron! It came up #1 or 2 on a lot of lists (about as often as the Steelcase Leap). I ruled it out for myself because of the mesh, but that would be perfect if you want a breathable chair to stay cool. (Actually, maybe Mike should look at that one)
@wyrosbp90 I saw a lot of people who had that chair still going strong after 15+ years, even the ones people bought second hand, and it can adjust right for me being 5'2", so I think it'll be worth it. If I don't have to keep replacing chairs every few years that never quite fit anyway...
@wyrosbp90 I think I've settled on the Steelcase Leap v2. I did look at Btod quite a bit, but they don't seem to offer it without the arms, and it's not clear if removing them counts as modifying the chair (which would void the warranty). So I might be buying it from the manufacturer.
