I love this! I would probably have done similar. My daughter is still laughing about the drawing I sent in to my vehicle insurance to represent my accidental hitting of a pillar.
So at my cousin’s wedding they got everyone to draw a picture of themselves and made it into a lovely tea towel as a souvenir.
Everyone else understood the brief. Me… well this is how I chose to represent myself…
@StephenGrootes I have been using the https://t.co/Zk3SrxmeB2 chatbot on WhatsApp for quite some time. It helps me with my anxiety and offers empathetic responses not just to help boost my self esteem, but also to help me when things go wrong.
Give it a go.
For us in Durban South Africa, with load shedding power outages, this delay has meant we might be able to see the race.
Five minutes till the power comes back on... Then I can watch what's left.
I'm in awe of the ADHD content creators out there...
*indicates everywhere but specifically at Instagram, Twitter and TikTok*
How the hell do they find get it right to create so much stuff?
And keep doing so for so long?

I've been using this WhatsApp ai bot for three weeks and it is amazing.
It helped me overcome a serious bout of imposter syndrome and PTSD.
I got encouragement, some sound advice, even compassionate interactions when I'm scared.
Thank you @cgenco
Non-asexual (aka allosexual) queer people may not be seeing this, but asexual folks are experiencing a spike in anti-ace discourse.
Ironically, much of that discourse involves attacking the idea that asexual people deal with oppression.
Stop asking my 12 year old if he has a
girlfriend.
He’s 12.
He’s a child who likes comic books and screaming outside for no reason. Relationships are not for children.
Also stop telling kids "you're so cute/handsome/beautiful I bet all the boys/girls will be trying to date you!"
How about "you're so kind, you have such a great sense of humor."
If you want a society that goes more than skin deep you have to change the language and the culture starting at home. -Anonymous
Being queer is not a choice. How you react if your child comes out to you or you find out another way is your choice, though. I don’t see how that is controversial, but I know many people don’t agree, which is why their kids cut contact later in life.
As a parent I completely understand this and if my child's friends are not out to their folks for whatever reason I would respect their choice.
For this reason I always act with their right to tell their own story foremost in my mind.
Children, you have a right to not tell your parents you’re queer, especially if you’re unsure of coming out will put you in harms way.
Parents: if you can’t handle the possibility that your child might be queer, I mean this completely sincerely: do not have children.
1/7 GroundUp has been told by the company that hosts our web server (@Akamai - formerly @linode) to remove an article about lawyer Lesley Ramulifho. We have until Sunday night, after which our site may be brought down.

@TheAnthonyMark@avramargariti@TheEqueerstrian It's because the scraping is happening to fanfiction. It's a huge issue right now and lots of fic writers are removing their work because theyre training AI on it. It's total garbage.
(I've also read a lot of fanfic that's written better than professionally published books. XD)
How the argument against clean energy has evolved:
1. It’s too expensive
2. Ok it might be super cheap now, but it’ll never work
3. Ok it works in some countries, but only because they’re small
4. Ok it works in bigger countries too, but won’t work here
5. Next stage: acceptance
