It’s easy to understand why you’d block someone who corrected you. Maybe you find it annoying, or humiliating, but why on earth do people come here to make things up for no benefit to themselves?
@MattRob78281471 Sorry, no. The scientific method was really a creation of Grosseteste and Roger Bacon, early adopters of Aristotelian physics. The Aristotelian nominalists of the 14th century then carried this forward. Buridan, Oresme, Marsilius of Inghen, Albert of Saxony, etc.
@14Majorian83 That’s true, though this specific manifestation of political theology as revanchism is especially pronounced among converts to EO. Comparing you to the Catholics, they’re usually much more varied even among far right types on what they’d like for e.g. Russia or Greece.
It is interesting how adopting Eastern Orthodoxy compels someone with no ethnic background to the relevant nations adopt hyper expansionist fantasies of historically EO nations. E.g. Russian and Serbian revanchism among converts, the megali idea etc. It’s almost without fail.
As an aside, I don’t understand why Slovenia would be attached to a greater Serbia anyway. It’s always included, but aside from language they seem more like their Bavarian neighbors in Austria than anything else.
@Enklaev@Lavader_ Hebrew myth subjugated the sun as an intended rejection of Egyptian and Babylonian solar cults. Neither Christ nor Apollo, originally, were solar deities. The Pythia would rise from the subterranean adyton to speak prophecy and bring light from below. Apollo is cthonic.
The obvious implications of this don’t even require anyone to have nefarious intentions or even attempt in a benevolent way to steer people to conclusions about certain moral judgements. People naturally cede this to others as is, now it’s replaced by an unthinking algorithm.
Ai itself seems pretty neutral as a tool, but people who don’t know how to use it (or even what it is) are the ones changing the economy to force ai to do things it will never be able to do, and this is going to be a disaster for humanity.
We already see a huge amount of peoples’ intellectual life being offloaded for ai to do the heavy lifting. This is pretty dire considering that most people choose to be barely sapient as it is, and it’s only getting worse.
The European Muhammadan has no real home. Even when he is tolerated, it is merely toleration, whether is be other Europeans or other Muslims. A people at home nowhere in any broader group.
I’ve been watching comments about this today and it’s interesting to see that there exists a camp of vaguely white nationalist types who root for one (seemingly browner) country to kіll people from another (seemingly whiter) country because the latter are the wrong religion.
Breaking News: Ratko Mladic, the Bosnian Serb general during the Balkan wars of the 1990s who was convicted in the killing of 8,000 Muslims at Srebrenica, Europe’s deadliest massacre since World War II, has died. He was 83. https://t.co/a71PgA09sL
I’d guess for the same reasons that people now are likely far more into what can be described as fetishes than in the past. “Everything is sexual and nothing is sexy.”
The clinical view that everything sexual is just preferences between consenting adults is probably a part of why people don’t want to have sex anymore.
Sexuality now has no eroticism because it has no drama, symbolism, danger, beauty, possession, vulnerability, conflict etc.
