We got some amazing pictures from the @HandleBards performance of Twelfth Night last week. We can't wait to have them back.

We had the pleasure of hosting @cat_doyle0 and @kwebberwanders book launch with @electricmonkeybooks for the wonderful new book, Twin Crowns.
Everyone dressed tremendously and we were overjoyed to see the Chapter Hall come to life when it was filled with regal glamour.
7pm on the 10th May the Priory Church of the Order of St John hosts a unique production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night by the @handlebards

We might be getting excited that summer is on the way, and days are getting longer... but not everything about winter evenings are bad- we loved having our @TwilightTreesUK up under the Arch. It was so festive!
A sneak peak at the Museum Galleries before they open up to the public...they are a truly unique space, and perfect to peruse with a drink in hand at the start of an event!

In the 12th century, the knights of the Order of St John used a herb called St John’s Wort to treat sick pilgrims. Today you can find it growing in our garden in Clerkenwell and depicted in the window of our Old Chancery.

We are lucky enough to be able to hire out our Museum Galleries - the are excellent spaces for a drinks reception! As you can see below, there is a wonderful variety of interesting objects for your guests to look at, whilst meandering around with a delicious cocktail in hand 🍸
We've just been installing this newly restored and rather impressive 1920s model of the @StJohnEyeHosp in its brand new case. It will be in the galleries for all to see when the Museum reopens next Monday 13th January.
#Didyouknow in 1888 when Queen Victoria granted a royal charter to the Order of St John, it also meant the Order was permitted to incorporate the royal beasts (a Lion and a Unicorn) into its own symbol, which is what can still be seen today. #FridayFact
We are officially signing off to enjoy the Christmas Festivities...fingers crossed we are lucky enough to get to enjoy plenty of delicious snacks - like these by @eastdulwichchef, made for one of our events this year. Merry Christmas to everyone, and see you next year!
....And that brings us to Christmas Eve! Thank you for joining us for a walk down the memory lane of 2019 - it truly has been a wonderful year with incredible events, happy faces, and memories made. Fingers crossed next year can be as successful!
Today's picture is of the Church set up for a beautiful dinner recently - the space is big enough to fit in a large scale dinner like this, and yet still feel intimate and welcoming.

Today in our run up to Christmas we are remembering the Cloister Garden set up, beautifully, for the Fentimans Secret Garden here earlier in summer. A beautiful, quiet haven - and the perfect place for a chilled drinks reception. #venuehire#clerkenwell#historicvenuehire
This is the moment just before guests arrived for an intimate wedding ceremony in the Council Chamber - a truly unique and memorable place to get married! We have been lucky enough to be part of so many weddings this year, and each and every one has been beautiful.

This is a throwback to earlier in the year when we had our competition winners coming in for a private afternoon tea in the beautiful Old Chancery....tea for two anyone?!
