Today in the Article II meeting of the Appropriations Committee, I asked @TexasDSHS Commissioner Shufford how they are planning to fund HIV long-acting injectables for the ADAP Program with federal support, but are also expecting a shortfall of over $45 Million of federal funds needed to support the Texas ADAP program.

When it comes to Public Health, we must follow the science and utilize treatment regimens that are the most efficient and show results. I will continue to flight to ensure State funding for long acting injectables and continue the work necessary to end HIV in the State of Texas.
