@xMBGx That would never happen because they won’t produce enough. So you’ll either have to skip the game or buy digital because no physical copies are left. FOMO is a real thing so this won’t work.
@vicious696 It's easy. He has fewer chips than others in the 🐐conversation. He played in an era where flopping and defense aren't allowed to hack and favors offense. He needs more chips to quiet the noise that claims he’s 2nd best at best. He wants to be an actual king, not self proclaimed.
@Taochannn@mrpyo1 That's the solution. Maybe a trusted third-party company like Limited Run Games can produce physical games at a premium for our physical brothers. They're doing it now. They can Kickstarter any game they want physical copies for, and it can include all the updates.
@Romudeth@vicious696 The industry expanded too quickly and is now contracting. 2nd wages went up so everything else has to go up. 3rd gaming has always been a luxury. I remember as a child going over to a friend's house to play (I was too poor) and getting a console once my older brother worked.
@Septic_Sauce I’m fine with that. Isn’t that what PCs do currently? Why can’t consoles adopt it? A new console would be like having a new-generation graphics card, but that doesn’t mean that last-generation cards can’t play with lower fidelity (last gen consoles).
@PCMR_Elitist@UniverseBlade Given the state of the world, what guarantees they will be cheaper if they wait? They could technically become more expensive by delaying as well.
@mrpyo1@yagurakirigakur Micron stated this is the correct price and they were forced to sell below value because of low pc demand. Yea… they don’t plan to lower prices ever. Thanks to inflation this is the new norm.
@mrpyo1@BaldDavid_ Doubtful. With inflation, governments running deficits, climbing oil prices, war, and AI, things will continue to rise for the next 5-10 years. Memory chip companies just said they were selling their stuff below market because of the PC downturn, and this is the correct price.
@Dwindows0@VegasMike27 It's not a priority because removing most of our perceived wealth would cause a recession. Second, we caused it because dual-income households outbidding single-income families drove home prices up. Women's rights are great, but this was the unintended side effect.
@SynthPotato No need to upgrade. RT upgrade w/ 60fps worth premium to some. Think of it as 5090 for consoles. OK to stay on 4070 & let wealthy enjoy it. Inflation & high mem prices will keep rising nxt 5yrs. So why delay the launch and probably end up costing more than today. I would upgrade
@Romudeth@DanParente You know that’s exactly what’s going to happen, and the result will be more layoffs and a recession followed by a contraction of wages. We are setting up for a world of hurt.
@GamewithDave The beginning of the end of physical media started when GameStop began selling used games for $5 less without giving the publisher a cut. This is the reason Game Pass started, along with digital games.
@Romudeth Wonder if gov will step in. Its going to hit cars, fridges, TVs & all electronics, making them unaffordable & triggering recession. Not AI taking jobs, but lower consumption causing layoffs.
@PCMR_Elitist The problem Sony sees is that they will leave PlayStation and go to PC and lose more money in the long run. Why would you play the game on an inferior system? It’s called gatekeeping and it makes them a lot of money with games they don’t make.
