The conversations that we have can have amazing impact, especially when we take time to see the person and their attributes and lift them up to see them too. Choose those conversations this week. They can transform lives.
On Friday, Colin spoke at a Heads Conference. A lady spoke to him, "25 years ago my children were in your school & I spoke to you about my next teaching job. You told me to consider leadership when I didn't see that in myself. That was pivotal & I've been a Head for 10 years."
After his talk, another Head spoke to him. "I've been racking my brains as I recognised your name & I was trying to think of where I taught with you. And then it dawned on me . . . you were my Year 6 teacher, when I was 10. I'm now a headteacher." Yep - he felt old at that point.
Thresholds give us an opportunity to reflect on ourselves and make friends with the less beautiful part of ourselves. Trevor Waldock explains more on the Leadership Lounge Podcast. https://t.co/BZBAHuMwD5 . Contact us for a chat about how coaching can help you explore this.
