Some prefer more gentleman and less mystic.
This new account demonstrates my willingness to speak to that preference.
We shall see how this develops.

Teaching the boys how to iron today.
Started with a dress shirt — interviews, dates, all that.
You can’t show up wrinkled trying to impress somebody.
Take pride in how you look.
Manners aren't sexy. Courtesy isn't exciting. Self-respect and Self-responsibility don't sell.
Some look at the old Mystic and think "what a relic."
Yep, that's me.
Happily.
Many encourage the use of simple language when communicating.
I have no issue with this position.
Personally, I champion the colorful eloquence and nuanced expression that a comprehensive vocabulary can yield.
Language need not be an either/or proposition.

In an age defined by crass vulgarity, unkempt appearance, ill-mannered interaction, and mindless distraction, the well-spoken, crisply dressed, courteous, and clearly focused individual is the highest form of rebel.

While it's absolutely possible for good things to come from mediocre materials & design (witness the greater portion of all consumer items currently on the market), greatness demands excellence of design, materials, & construction.
This holds true even more for you.
Just finished cleaning and putting a coat of polish on my oldest pair of boots and conditioning the newest pair I bought just today before their first wearing.
Feels good and proper.
Now more than ever, our world needs legendary men.
But those men need to be legendary for the right reasons.
Men with character, men with heart, men with resilience and determination, good men who do the right thing.
We need legendary men, exemplars for those who follow.
Teaching our sons manners and the art of etiquette is not about superiority or enforcing outdated customs. Rather, it’s about forming young men who can navigate life with composure and strength. Manners are not superficial, they are the visible expression of inner virtue.

Constant Self-assessment is a necessity for the gentleman and the seeker.
The only way to true Self-knowledge is by following a determined path of honest Self-critique.
"Bad manners breed worse manners. It is fortunate that the converse is also true. As with all things in Life, that which is given energy is that which grows."

It is sad whenever Beauty turns into ugliness.
I speak not of the Beauty which fades naturally over Time; this is natural and itSelf beautiful.
The sadness comes whenever Beauty is corrupted and transformed by malice or anger or desperation.
Beauty should never meet this fate.

Basic manners and courtesy towards others are the foundation of a functioning society and civil public square. This is best taught to young people through our example and correction when they fail to live up to that expectation. Let us all make this a priority in the year ahead.
