I am currently loving Metaphor:ReFantazio but it's very funny to me how the plot is essentially about having a democratic vote forced onto a feudal theocratic society and your MC's are just like "Yeah, let's fight for a free society! Anyway, back to the Divine Right of Kings."
I have rolled credits on Echoes of Wisdom. It's an extremely charming game and a love letter to the monsters of the Zelda games. While I think the dungeons were a little weak, overall I had a wonderful time with it.
When folding a fitted sheet, I find it quite cathartic to say under my breath, "I don't need to fuckin' impress you," and then roll it up into a stupid tiny ball and cram it in the closet like the persnickety little prick that it is.
Oh my god Astro Bot FUCK OFF. No, I do not want to redo this section again again AGAIN because I was 3 millimeters off from landing in the hole with the steel ball and slid off to my death.
I swear, this game gets worse the longer I play it. The charm has mostly washed away.
The #1 thing said by me playing Astro Bot hasn't been some version of "wowee!" but instead it's "oh for FUCK'S sake." I cannot count the number of times I've had to redo a platforming segment because an enemy hit me due to a slightly mistimed jump and I died from a 1 hit KO.
The game is packed to the brim with charm and whimsy, but jesus christ this is the tenth time doing this shit segment and I just want to be done which makes me rush so I'm a bit less careful and whooooops that enemy jumped in just such a way and I DIE IN 1 HIT WHO DESIGNED THIS
