@Toborisme@TDChrisG It was under Andersen's body, and Barbashev took a second jab at the puck. Had he only tried to poke the puck once, then that might count, but taking a second jab at it made this a textbook interference call
@StruthersBrock@Lindstrum@spittinchiclets You can't push the puck through the goalie. Once it's under Andersen's body, the play's done. But the Vegas player to another stab at the puck after it was fully underneath Andersen, which is where the refs deemed it interference. That's the way the rule works
@Maicon75458987@TheIroncane@Minatos_Flash They did that. And those games were considered some of the greatest of their generation. Your argument is invalid and disingenuous
@Montroyalagent@xwleblancx And it's a dumb rule. People have been saying that for almost a decade now. This just happens to be the most recent high profile example of a bad rule that needs amending
@ZachCaniac No. We can't have reasonable thought at a time like this. Clearly the refs are paid off by whichever team is wins. Same way the refs "rigged" the 4 previous series
@nhl_review Running the goalie like that should warrent a few punches to the dome without it being penalized. Sad to see refs trying to protect dirty plays
@duerinll I get the frustration. When they call back a goal due to an missed offsides call 20-40 seconds before, it's a bad look for the sport. This has been a rule they desperately need to amend for years now
@worldhockeyrpt He got bulldozed at full speed. Just because he doesn't pop back up a second later doesn't mean it's a flop. You just don't know the game
@SabreUnfiltered That's not a flop. He got bulldozed at full speed. Just because he stays down for a second doesn't mean it's a flop. That needs to be called 10 times outta 10
@thetrueliz It's a goalie in his net. It's his domain to enforce. I don't see any issue with a goalie making a player think twice about staying that close to the net
@DuaneS39 What's wrong with this? Dobes is defending his net. If players don't like it, they shouldn't be so close to the net. Modern skaters have gotten far too comfortable in the goalie's domain
@MSmith1883@thedailykaily Dobes has yet to do anything dirty these playoffs. He's been called for weak penalties when he's protecting his net, but that's not his fault. Refs refuse to let him do his job
@NHL_mspaint The net is the goalie's domain. They are allowed to protect their net. A goalie shouldn't be penalized for doing their job. Just because Dobes is the only goalie willing to do it isn't his fault. I'd feel the same way if Andersen did this at the other end
@NhlYearBets@fnveenie@NHL_mspaint It's the goalie's crease. He's protecting his space. The refs have already been calling more on goalies than they should this playoffs. This is a correct non-call
@Casual_Mats Marner just wasn't cut out for the Toronto market. His camp soured his relationship with the fans during his contract negotiations, and he built a reputation of being an entitled star who didn't want to work. Marner's better suited for the quieter Vegas market and it shows
@merkfermatoe The rules say it has to be a DISTINCT kicking motion. I 100% get why Sabres fans feel cheated by this goal, but that's not getting overturned. It's more of a deflection than a kick
@KevinMassare He got kneed in the head. He reacted about as much as any person would. The NHL needs to start protecting goalies better, or let goalies police their net
