Hey everyone! I’m on the hunt for my first software engineering role. Currently making some updates to my portfolio to get some projects up and launch the blog as well. If you know of any companies doing any hiring or even any promising collaboration opportunities, pls share! Thx
@nurijanian@sukhindersingh@reidhoffman storytelling with data is excellent. i never fully embraced data viz as a core comp myself but it was a big part of improving how i communicate and make decisions from data, which is probably a core comp for me. Great choice. Highly Tableau-related
@_caseygillespie @hdelgado_ox So many. Renteria, fake Alex Rodriguez, Connine & Mordecai were the first. But looking at their 02 team, they had some talent: https://t.co/J8lASoUEye
@willking@NotionHQ My current use case isn't for services. I was reflecting on the last 8 years of services and how it just wouldn't work at all without some basic recurring tasks. I have a small use-case right now that I'm trying to work around.
I love Notion but the lack of recurring tasks make it non-viable as a PM tool. Service-driven teams are built on recurring tasks. Any chance that's in the roadmap @NotionHQ ?
@willking Probably not. It may be a small negative signal in the grand scheme of things but it's probably only worth thinking about if you have dodgy link building habits, duped content from other sites, 10,000+ pages, etc.
I know a few folks followed me from the #Opsy community and my team needs someone opsy on our team: https://t.co/qX7MguuA7V Great team, 4x'd last year, won all the Inc. awards blah blah blah :) It's genuinely a great place to work & grow. DM me with any Q's
I won't make it to my next indie anniversary (going in-house, amazing opp) but I'm reflecting on big lessons. Perhaps the biggest: care about things in the right order--when they start to become painful.
It really comes down to addressing the bottlenecks to your success. What's holding you back from achieving your full vision? Sometimes it will be sales. Sometimes healthy balance. Sometimes you will need to get opsy and fix broken processes. But do things in the right order.
@MattTutt1 The Manager's Path has good insights into the differences between mentoring, coaching, & managing individuals and the mindset you should explore. I just got through those sections so it'd be worth a library borrow just to read through the first 80 pages https://t.co/UK5tFEqWhh
Still very appreciative of @carolinesyrup for having me on the Opsy pod. We talked marketing operations (with focus on agency model in second half). I am bullish that ops is still early days for digital marketers. Here's the link: https://t.co/WyUQsjXlyT
Hey, it's me talking marketing ops! Which is a thing that exists!
Thanks for having me on the pod @carolinesyrup - I've already re-thought through every question you asked me and have different, nuanced answers :)
I invited my favorite marketing ops guy @EverythingSwan on the https://t.co/Rxx2jUOBIF podcast to talk about this + more, including:
⚡ The industry changes + tooling that led to this shift
⚡ What marketing ops even is + how to break in
⚡ Pros/cons of consulting as an ops pro
@carolinesyrup I do it with big life changes. This was the format this year. Start, Stop, Continue fit under short-term objectives. Still shaping the Action Items section with habits/systems I need to form/implement this year so I have to be picky. Vegetables are staying a priority tho 🥦
