Sometime between 1983 & 1986, author William Preston Robertson was personally hired by Sam Raimi to write a novelization of THE EVIL DEAD, though it was never published. Robertson got to visit the set of Evil Dead 2 and puppeteered Henrietta's severed head for a scene. #evildead

Between 1989 and 1994, EVIL DEAD 2 was technically owned by skin care/makeup/shampoo company L'Oréal. L'Oréal's entertainment division bought Dino De Laurentiis' film catalog when DEG went out of business in 1989. L'Oréal's film division was then sold to StudioCanal in 1994.
