@TheRealDudja I’d grab my 53-year-old plush Snoopy because he’s the only keepsake that’s impossible to replace. My father bought him for me before I was born, and he’s never left my side.
@AudraRaley 6/6: There’s nothing requiring owners to prove a firearm is still in their possession. I know a man who has his Army issued pistol from Vietnam; no one has ever asked about it in 50+ years. W/o a regular reg process, “GovCo” can’t track firearms & prevent their illegal diversion
@AudraRaley 5/6: I’ve been working on legislation that requires what’s previously listed. Reg is like the DMV w/HIGHER fees. Reg & State/Fed run class revenue can fund the processes & can help fund victims’ relief/recovery from illegal firearms use. Finally, regarding the lack of oversight…
@AudraRaley 4/6: I’m in favor of biannual registration w/HIGH FEES. Owners must prove their firearm is in their possession, that they’re up-to-date w/CE, & have insurance. Unlike w/vehicles, failure to reg a firearm should result in its confiscation, & criminal charges if it’s “missing”
@AudraRaley 3/6: I AM a 2nd Amendment proponent. My Vet husband & I own firearms; we’re insured. Although wildly unpopular w/others, I’m 100% for mandatory background checks w/mental health records, required State/Fed run classes PRIOR to purchase, annual continuing ed & proof of insurance
@AudraRaley 2/6: No one can know the answers to the questions that go through my mind just by looking at someone who’s strapped. “GovCo” doesn’t know either because of their total lack of oversight. More than anything else, I am a strident proponent of OVERSIGHT
@AudraRaley 1/6: Please read ALL 6 B4 replying 2 me. @AudraRaley asked “…what goes through your mind?” My reply is “Is that person the registered owner of that firearm?” + “Do they have proper training?” + “Do they have liability insurance?” + “Do they have a clean bill of mental health?”
For those of you who stuck around during my absence… THANK YOU! Also, you’ll notice I’ve changed my handle from YentaKelly to EvilleKelly. EvilleKelly is my Twitch handle & it’s the nickname I earned playing 8 ball in 1996.
