@Rooflemonger Pool Party Ahri skin is in there, they're trying to make sure that the game has all the revenue it needs to continue forever and ever lmao.
@Rooflemonger Legit one of the few misses on the cast. Like you say, I'm sure costumes are going to fix that, but it's a rare L from an otherwise great set of base character designs.
Great shooting percentage overall though.
@TBSkyen Incredible game 4 and 5 performance from him. To pull this off when his team needed it the most is why he's the GOAT. Give him that Finals MVP.
@Sharjamon Marc Merill wants to absorb some of that Arcane clout so bad, there's a reason he's in THIS particular one.
Even though he knew about those layoffs when they filmed this, man can't read the room at all because he's in his ivory tower.
@BessWisty This is what happens when a GaaS game has plateau'd in terms of users. Lazer focus on the (perceived) most profitable things and monetize your userbase for as much as possible until the decline is too much to sustain the game.
@BessWisty Skins seem in line with what Riot has said recently. Making skins for the champs that fit a skinline as much as possible.
Zeri is a bit weak in its implemention, but thematically, all the skins makes sense and have a strong visual identity.
Hope it continues like this.
@Storrov1@IWDominate The only way this argument "works" is if all fanbases are equally toxic(let's say 0.5% for the sake of the argument) and the only difference is the size of said fanbase.
Either there are toxic fanbases or a toxic fanbase has never existed in history.
@Rooflemonger@jaealxndr EVO Singapore in 2026 seems fairly well timed. Would not be surprised if 2XKO gets a lot of players from China/South Korea/SEA region due to being part of Riot/LoL IP.
In general I expect the game to attract a lot of non-FGC endemics to the scene.
@vinn_aleixo@vicwingly It would be such a shame.
2XKO has the chance to bring a lot of unique entrants to tournaments due to an inbuilt Riot global audience separate from the FGC.
It's a lot of potential additive players.
@UltimaShadowX Meg Man aside, I think the only thing that Capcom hasn't figured out is new IPs.
Exoprimal was a straight BOMBA and Path of the Goddess is not going to do well. Probably less profit loss due to budget size but still.
Then you have Pragmata which is in dev hell.
@dusteeze@entersandwich It's engine related. The game probably uses MT framework(like the previous fighting collection) which is the engine before RE, which probably hasn't seen much updating.
If you look at recent releases made in it, none of them got any current gen versions: https://t.co/Dq0DDQiXJP
@Theswweet Something tells me even Neil didn't feel confident in pushing back against that part. Which is crazy to think about considering his position at ND/SIE.
@Theswweet People are still waiting for him to elaborate about his AI "quotes" but I'm pretty sure the reason why he didn't is because this was clearly a Sony push. If you look at the other interviews and their general stance during their overall meeting. It was all about the AI buzzword.
