A 𝐬𝐜𝐢-𝐟𝐢 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 that is backed by the likes of @Immutable and @ShimaCapital, Dark Frontiers are embarking on a journey to 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬’ interests all over the world.

On top of that, Dark Frontier will be launching their collection very soon - 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐰-𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲, 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐭 concept that would definitely whet the appetites of all you Web3 gaming project hunters.

As a quick introduction, Dark Frontiers is a 𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠-𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐢-𝐟𝐢 𝐌𝐌𝐎 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫, where GameFi (Game Finance) and NFTs play a pivotal role across major aspects. What they seek to achieve is bringing a seamless blend of NFTs for 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥-𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 through in-game items.

The game can be thought of as an amalgamation between 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐲, 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 & 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐬, bringing the best of all worlds (MMORPG, FPS, & Sci-Fi) together.

What we really liked about what we’ve seen so far based on the released trailers can be summarised as follows:

- 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐬 & 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤: Given what we’ve seen so far, Dark Frontiers boasts high-quality graphics and a stellar soundtrack. The game also promises an immersive gaming experience reminiscent of top off-chain titles.
- 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐃𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬: Starting from a rugged moon base, players embark on a cosmic journey. They engage in battles against aliens, form alliances, create guilds, conquer PVE and PVP challenges, and discover unique NFTs that enhance arsenals or can be traded on secondary markets.

On top of what’s being mentioned, they also bring about an entirely new concept - 𝐏𝟐𝐈 (𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲-𝐭𝐨-𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞). We’ve heard about Play-to-Earn concepts but what is different about Dark Frontiers is the community angle and an economy designed to facilitate player to player 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.

What the concept is based on is basically leveraging its gaming communities and guilds, rewarding active players for both 𝐢𝐧-𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟𝐟-𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. Players earn $DARK tokens by helping newcomers, crafting guides, and being pillars of the Dark Frontiers community.

What does the $DARK token do, you may ask? Well, the utility is three-pronged as of today:

- 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬: $DARK tokens empower players to purchase upgrades (new equipment, cosmetics, crafting materials etc.) and plots of land within the game.
- 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐲: Owning land, a moon, or a planet generates interest for players staking property, creating a virtuous circle (think Monopoly where you own estates)
- 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬: As the $DARK token's value rises, both players and token holders reap rewards. The increasing token price facilitates player transactions, making the ecosystem mutually beneficial.

What’s exciting is that this 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭. As of 3 months ago, Dark Frontiers have just launched their 𝐏𝐯𝐏 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐫 that includes 4 distinct types of PvP arenas:

𝟏. 𝐁𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐚: Focuses on purely hand to hand, 1v1 combat
𝟐. 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐚: The traditional type of arena, where teams of two, three, four, five, and more battle it out as a team (again, reminiscent of the WoW arena gameplay)
𝟑. 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐏𝐕𝐏 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬: Regular open world zones where PVP is permitted freely (Alliance vs Horde in WoW)
𝟒. 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐢𝐞𝐠𝐞: The guild/clan mode that is host to massive battlefields for clans to fight over outpost dominance.

We don’t know about you readers, but while writing this, @DRTnky and I are ITCHING to start immersing ourselves in the 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬 - and THEY KNOW you guys are itching to play.

Hence, they have launched their limited time, 𝐏𝐫𝐞-𝐀𝐥𝐩𝐡𝐚 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬. What this means is that once released, players will be able to download and play Dark Frontiers PVP whenever they want. 𝐍𝐨 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐧𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐬. And in the meantime the development team will be finishing up the main game, preparing for it’s full release.

• 𝐉𝐨𝐧 (@𝐉𝐨𝐧𝐇𝐨𝐨𝐤): Serial gaming entrepreneur with a history of successful ventures as an advisor and investor. Jon was also previously the Chief Revenue Officer of Homa Games so we don’t have to worry about commercialisation as this guy obviously knows how to do it.
