for you who
unknowingly sided with hate.
Crying time
to you who
peacefully spoke and waited.

In my mourning of the first,
the foundation of our flag,
in righteous defense and
overwhelming common sense,
my mind is screaming for war

but -

the Word in my heart
reminds me before I start,
eternal wisdom
leading to life
evermore.

Peace stands waiting
for you to
open your heart’s door.
