After over 20 years, I’m once again watching my childhood vhs copy of Star Wars. Amazing how every line in the intro trailer is engraved into my brain.
I can’t believe I’m only now learning the Gameboy Color could switch between different color pallets for GB games.
I remember accidentally doing this as a kid and thinking my game was messed up.
I did it folks! I purchased a working Laserdisc player and found a very rare pressing of Star Wars 77, all to have the most “authentic” viewing experience possible.
So you can all thank me when Disney finally announces an unaltered Blueray release next year. #StarWars

@retrotink2 hey Mike, I just updated the 5X to firmware 3.0 and my snes and super famicom are now showing some major checkerboarding.
Any setting that may affect this, or should I just look for better cables/revert to the older version?
