Since the launch of the petition, more than 50,000 private citizens already added their name to the call for Senator Alan Peter Cayetano to resign as Senate President.

This is not a partisan petition. On the contrary, today many Filipinos across political lines no longer believe that Senator Alan Peter Cayetano can lead the Senate. At a moment of deep national uncertainty, the Senate must remain a credible institution capable of impartial judgment, constitutional courage, and moral leadership. It must never be perceived as a sanctuary for impunity, political self-preservation, or partisan obstruction.

This is not about political camps or personalities. It is about protecting public trust in the Senate itself. When trust in its leadership erodes, trust in the institution inevitably follows. For the good of the Senate and the nation, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano must resign as Senate President.
