It would be pretty funny if the Premier League set piece meta made it to the World Cup. The tactics are tailor made for the training time constrained international game. Soccer players running routes would be a great tribute to a World Cup in the US.

Don't know much about baseball, but would be interested to see if ABS could just replace umpires calling balls & strikes. Just as in cricket, I'm not a fan of the challenge system where you can run out of them, and can't challenge a bad call later on.

Haven't seen Project Hail Mary yet, but love the clips where the main character learns to communicate with the alien. That was one of the best parts of the movie Arrival. Other movies with a translator or the aliens magically speak English rob the viewers of that encounter.
