Slovenian Marxist philosopher Slavoj Žižek argues that humanity faces three major crises: environmental collapse, artificial intelligence, and the threat of global war. He says existing political and economic systems lack the mechanisms to confront them.

Invoking Antonio Gramsci, Žižek describes a “morbid” interregnum in which the old liberal world order is dying but the new cannot be born, leading to a "universalized morbidity" that is darker than traditional capitalism, bordering on a form of digital feudalism, as described by Yanis Varoufakis.

He says Donald Trump is a symptom of the American state’s failures and criticizes the Left for prioritizing political correctness and opposition to Trump over developing a concrete vision rooted in social solidarity and morality.

Žižek raises the possibility that confronting these crises may require a form of “leftist authoritarianism” or emergency state intervention to implement the necessary and bitter measures to survive upcoming catastrophes.

This is the most revealing interview clip from Netanyahu I have ever seen. Netanyahu explains that Israel is facing global sanctions and an end to US aid and proposes the use of blockchain and crypto as a solution. This is very telling:

1) Netanyahu is planning for a future of sanctions evasion. He believes that it is facing a similar future to Russia and Iran. Having seen them both survive that he believes Israel can do it too and seems resigned.

2) He believes Israel has lost active American support and does not think it can fight it.

3) The kind of blockchain and crypto solution he is discussing is not meant to uphold an entire economy. Rather, it is a good way for an elite to keep functioning while the people are in poverty.

His plan is to move Israel further towards an isolated kleptocracy, while continuing to commit genocide and ethnic cleansing. This is the Israeli future.
