everyone in the qrts are either white and mad bc they feel attacked, only focusing on the lesbian reading “the color purple”, or keeps bringing up that the author of this comic is white, all of which take away from the main point of the comic
Hardly the first one to bring it up but an issue with a lot of larger studios doing "The weird outcast" kid trope is how they strip the politics away from outcasts
Aspects of race, sexuality, able bodiedness etc are removed to be as marketable as possible now
It feels bizarre to see someone that I was a huge fan of pass away so soon. While I'm not big on him anymore, his debut album and music in general did a lot for me during the pandemic, and I will forever cherish that.
