Uk & France are developing a new very long range Air-to-Air missile named 'Comet' which will use dual-pulse rocket motor with range longer than Meteor. It will be designed to be simpler & lower cost than Meteor and will complement it. They plan to operationalise it by 2030.

Salute to the USMC AV-8B Harrier!
The unmistakable whine of the Pegasus engine will be deeply missed. I have many great memories of photographing, fueling, marshalling, and flagging Harriers in and out while working the ramp at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in Mesa, Arizona, from 2002–2004. During that time, I had the privilege of working with crews and aircraft from the Black Sheep, Nightmares, Avengers, Hawks, and Bulldogs squadrons. The Bulldogs just completed the last Harrier flight and sundown ceremony at MCAS Cherry Point, NC.
These three photos were taken on February 8, 2004, in Arizona during the last time I saw VMA-223 "Bulldogs" in person. The aircraft still carried mission markings from deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq.
