@powerbottomdad1 Why is it so hard for people to figure out the concept of energy density? Or, heavy capex now and low opex forever? It's cheaper to take a mud receptacle to collect water from a ravine to wipe one's ass, it's better to have indoor plumbing in the long run! Gosh, we are abysmal.
@JohnDavisJDLLM Gender issues aside (and I generally agree with you), tipping is not supposed to be a wage or commission, it's supposed to be an over and above and rare incentive for a job very well done, its not a mandate. He should be shouting at the delivery company.
@RepublicStaff British Republicans, a few suggestion: drop the "costs" argument, most folks don't really care; argue for "the law is the king" from first-principles. A monarch isn't equivalent to a president, a monarch is equivalent to a codified constitution presided over by someone.
@nathanlauchlan @kay_c1773 @NoContextBrits I would agree with that. I am not white or British. I was in the UK from 2009 - 2012 and then 2022. I have encountered more "otherism" in my home country than in the UK. Probably 70s - 90s were different though. And as an anglophile, the current economic woes there pains me.
All news reports of #populationcollapse implicitly admit that life, and civilization, is a pyramid scheme. Need the young the feed the old and so on and so forth. Well, lets hole #AGI can create the labor-wealth (which is ultimately the thing that people need from the young).
@RishiSunak London’s going to need some Singapore and Shanghai level of home building. If London Core is off-limits for new styles and high rises then build in Zone 2 - 11. While you are at it, build 10 more Londons. Build so much that rent/ mortgage doesn’t even cause a bleep.
