All of Doug Wilson’s defenders should look into the Steven Sitler case.
Sitler is the son of an extremely wealthy Christ Church benefactor. He’s also a “fixated pedophile” with a prison record. “Fixated pedophile” is a medical diagnosis which means that the pedophile in question has been medically evaluated to be at very high risk to re-offend.
Doug Wilson enabled and defended Sitler every step of the way.
After Sitler was released from prison, a Christ Church elder arranged a marriage between Sitler and a young Christ Church woman anxious to get married. Remember, they do arranged marriages in Moscow, Idaho. Doug Wilson officiated the wedding and encouraged the couple to have children. They did, they had a son.
Steven Sitler eventually confessed to having “actual physical contact” with his infant son that resulted in sexual stimulation for himself. He made this confession after failing one of his court ordered polygraph tests.
Attached are portions of what Sitler confessed to: he sexually assaulted children ages 3, 8 and 10.
How it started - "BRING ALL THE WORLD UNDER CHRIST'S DOMINION!!!!!"
How it's going - ** quits a baseball game over the his team's objections because someone played a song you didn't like **
Logos is really putting the effort in to earn an "L".

Doug Wilson is not Trinitarian, in the proper sense: One God, three Persons who share all that it is to be God.
Here are eight ways Wilson denies full deity to God the Son and the Holy Spirit: 🧵
How did the self-ordained pastor of an independent Evangelical church in Idaho become a household name across America?
@brmorris details several key stages in Doug Wilson's early rise to prominence, covering the years 1968-2003, and names personalities and events along the way.
@Trish_NornIron@KaeleyT Yup. Not only that, he officiated the wedding (which was essentially an arranged marriage), and encouraged the couple to have children. It did not turn out well for the child 🥺
@AlyssaDegraff@JohnErikFraker Well I see he ran away to his blog and is busy seeking narcissistic supply from his groupies and devotees today, which is totally to be expected from a man that loves the preeminence like Diotrephes of old (3 John).
@Askmsdel@geekyguyjay@JohnErikFraker Well to be fair, some of us have attempted to highlight the issues with Doug Wilson (and I count Jay among those who have).
It’s almost like, oh I don’t know, Doug should have known that officiating the arranged marriage of a fixated pedophile to a young woman in his church, then encouraging them to have children, would turn out badly.
@realmikolson@geekyguyjay 1. He's not a real pastor
2. He married off a known and active pedophile to a "lawful sexual outlet" = his to-be wife
3. Made a "Jesus isn't socialist" joke to three people who are not socialist and a complete non sequitur.
Have you *heard* what Doug has called women?
How did a man like Doug Wilson gain such influence? In part, because men like Al Mohler, a top leader & luminary of the Southern Baptist Convention, extended legitimacy to Wilson's abusive theology & theocratic extremism.
Be a Wajahat Ali, not an Al Mohler. #ThisistheSBC
