What a difference a day makes! Friday’s demoralising drizzle gave way to glorious sunshine on Saturday for this year’s Bronze and Silver DofE groups from Ormiston Sandwell Community Academy. That’s the practice complete; now onto the assessed expeditions!

The expedition season has begun! A slight detour from the red team saw them tackling a steeper descent than expected at the weekend! Both teams from Fortis Academy are now finalising their routes for their assessed expedition in June.

Yesterday saw the completion of our final first aid training session at Fortis Academy. This training is an essential component of our DofE programmes as it gives participants a key insight into how to respond to emergency situations and help people in need.
