@BBCRadio4@drchatterjeeuk@DrMichaelMosley I’m listening to your programme. I’m 62 & I lift weights 5-6 times a week and I really enjoy it. I’ve become so strong and fit through CrossFit. I’m making gains all the time. I’m stronger & fitter now than I have ever been & yet I have always done exercise of some sort.
@sarajcox I started the Great North Run & knew I couldn’t continue without going to the loo. I saw a grey electrical box at the side of the road, nipped behind it & as I was crouching I looked over my shoulder & realised all 52,000 runners could see me having a pee.
@sarajcox I don’t know how to work the timer on my central heating boiler. I have to get up 20 mins early every day to turn it on & then jump back into bed & then remember to turn it off again. I’m 61. I should know by now, surely!
@ivormacf@Geordiecringle1@jamie_t10@NoContextBrits For someone who was humiliated several times a day, every day in French, maths, physics & chemistry, PE was my saviour. The one thing I could do well.

When I was about 10 I asked the headmaster, who ran the #football team, if I could play in the #school team. He said no because I was a #girl! Thankfully times are finally changing
@BBCWomansHour@thehomeedit@Emmabarnett My advice would be. Shake your mother from your shoulder. It’s ok to have fun & have as much of it as you can. If you don’t like it, it is really ok to change your job or your career. Finally & so importantly, learn to say no in whatever circumstance, but say yes for adventure.
@TheBBCtv Dear BBC, why didn’t I see any promotion of the athletics? I came across it by accident last night & am now watching it today. You are forever publicising football, rugby, Wimbledon, etc, but I saw NOTHING about athletics!
