📣 Advancing gender equity in sport
NEW scoping review of international sport federation policies for pregnant, postpartum and parenting elite athletes ✅
#OpenAccess ➡️ https://t.co/7RdNLQYgNe
Why policies matter:
🏅 Performance → Proper policies help athletes return safely & at their best
💪 Health → Prevents injury & long-term complications
⚖️ Gender Equity → Breaking barriers in sport at all levels
Without these policies, inequities in sport will persist.
✅ More International Federations (IFs) are introducing sport-specific policies for pregnant, postpartum, and parenting athletes.
📈 This is a step forward, recognizing that pregnancy is not the end of an athlete’s career!
🚨 But there’s more to do…
