@MartinSLewis What is disturbing is that there is no maximum limit for passengers on these train services. Having boarded a service it took 15 minutes to get to my seat and it was not even halfway down the carriage as customers were sat on the floor in the aisle. H&S?
Should we just ignore that jobs are and will continue to disappear.

@MattGarrahan@PickardJE@Philgeorgiadis Maybe, a group chosen from the workplaces in the UK could would over see the pay structure and conditions of our Members of Parliament.
Personally, I can not see them standing for that or their seats in the next election if their pay and conditions were under attack.

As you get older science fiction becomes life, employers resist beneficial changes for employees through collective bargaining sending clear messages that "resistance is futile", followed by a period of assimilation, in unorganised/non union workplaces
Our requests that the companies follow the policies, procedures and agreements, have been our main priority and focus, some may think that these are meaningless, but they are the bedrock of what makes a fair and pleasant place to work.
The importance of being part of a workplace union has never been more important, only you and your fellow members have the strength to change the workplace for the better. Getting involved could mean just speaking with new employees, who have not had access to a representative.
Exceptionally windy conditions across the country today and a higher demand on our safety representatives to keep us safe. Thank you, union safety representatives.
I became a representative to protect the RMT members after being treated unfairly, the company used an agreement from 2005 in 2012 to withhold my company sick pay even though a newer policy was negotiated in 2007 that confirmed my entitlement. This is why we need unions.
