🚨 MO3 TRIAL — KEWON WHITE TRAFFIC STOP

The State has introduced photos from Kewon White’s Nov. 23, 2020 traffic stop in Mount Pleasant, Texas — 12 days after MO3 was killed.

Jurors were shown photographs of the vehicle and its contents, including what authorities identified/described as cash, suspected drugs and firearms/weapons-related items recovered during the stop.

The photos also show bags and other personal property throughout the vehicle.

⚖️ IMPORTANT: The fact these items were recovered after MO3’s murder does not by itself establish that they were connected to the murder. The State still has to establish the relevance of this evidence and whatever connection it contends exists between these items and the charged offense.

And after the firearms testimony we’ve already heard, that distinction matters: the DPS firearms examiner testified he was unable to link any of the firearms submitted to him to the fired evidence he examined.

👀 I’m watching closely for exactly why the State is presenting this Nov. 23 stop to the jury and what connection they attempt to make.

🚨 MO3 TRIAL: STATE PLAYS NOV. 11 SURVEILLANCE

FBI digital-forensics witness Scott Morris is walking the jury through DVR footage connected to 3915 Ramona Avenue.

The State showed surveillance from Nov. 10, the day before MO3’s murder, in which Morris testified an individual can be seen outside carrying what appears to be a firearm.

The State then moved to Nov. 11. After adjusting for the DVR’s roughly 58-minute time offset, Morris testified that footage shows an individual arriving and entering the residence with a backpack shortly after noon.

Later footage shows two individuals standing near a barbecue grill “burning something,” according to Morris.

⚠️ Important: Morris has not identified what was being burned in the testimony presented so far. When asked to identify another object carried by an individual in the footage, Morris said doing so would be speculation.

Prosecutors alleged during opening statements that clothing was burned following MO3’s killing. The question now is whether the State presents additional evidence establishing what was actually being burned—and who the individuals in the surveillance are.

🚨 MO3 TRIAL — DIGITAL EVIDENCE SHOWN TO JURY

FBI digital-forensics examiner Scott Morris authenticated multiple videos that were published to the jury today.

Among the footage shown:

🎥 Kewon White inside/with the black Camaro

🔥 Video showing clothing being burned

🔫 Footage showing Kewon carrying a firearm

📅 The videos shown to jurors are from November 10–11, 2020 — the night before and the day MO3 was killed.

This is significant because the State is now moving beyond witness testimony and putting digital/video evidence directly in front of the jury as it builds its timeline surrounding the black Camaro and Kewon White.

⚠️ The videos themselves do not determine guilt or establish that the firearm shown was the murder weapon. The jury will have to decide what weight to give this evidence alongside everything else presented at trial.

🚨 MO3 TRIAL — BALLISTICS TESTIMONY

DPS firearms expert Philip Duong testified that he was unable to link ANY of the firearms submitted to him to the fired evidence he examined in this case.

🔬 Duong examined 44 fired cartridge cases, along with bullets, bullet jackets and fragments.

His findings:

• The cartridge cases he examined were identified as having been fired from the SAME firearm.
• However, Duong could NOT identify which firearm fired them.
• He could not determine the make or model of that firearm from the class characteristics.
• Several submitted firearms were eliminated from portions of the fired evidence, while some projectile comparisons were inconclusive.
• Ultimately, Duong testified: “I was unable to link any of the firearms submitted.”

The State emphasized on redirect that Duong’s conclusions were reached through microscopic examination and peer-reviewed by another qualified firearms examiner.

⚖️ BOTTOM LINE: The evidence indicates the cartridge cases Duong examined came from the same gun — but based on his examination, the firearm that fired them has not been identified among the guns submitted to him.

🚨 MO3 TRIAL UPDATE — ATF AGENT WRIGHT IS OFF THE STAND

The defense pressed ATF Special Agent Zach Wright about the Glock 19 9mm discovered in MO3’s Honda on Oct. 18, 2023 — nearly 3 YEARS after the murder.

Wright testified he did not know about the previous 2020 searches, did not know who had access to the Honda during those years, and could not say whether anything had been removed from or placed inside the vehicle.

The defense also established that the gun was underneath carpet/material near the passenger-side dashboard—not inside a specially constructed hidden compartment. No cutting was required to reach it; the material could be pulled down by hand.

Most importantly, when asked whether he could say the gun wasn’t placed there after the fact, Wright answered:

“I cannot.”

⚠️ That is NOT testimony that the gun was planted. It means Wright could not establish when the firearm was placed there.

The loaded Glock was found after K-9 Chewbarka 🐕 alerted to the area.

Now the question: Can the State forensically connect THIS Glock to MO3’s murder? 👀⚖️

🚨 MO3 TRIAL — WHERE THE GUN WAS FOUND

These photos show the concealed area inside MO3’s gold Honda where investigators say a Glock 19 9mm pistol was discovered on October 18, 2023 — nearly 3 YEARS after his murder.

ATF Special Agent Zach Wright testified that explosives-detection K-9 Chewbarka (“Chewy”) alerted in the front passenger-side footwell underneath the dashboard.

Wright said the firearm was “well secluded” and could not be seen simply by looking inside the vehicle. After Chewbarka alerted, another ATF agent pulled the material/paneling down and observed part of the firearm.

⚠️ This comes after jurors heard testimony about earlier searches of the Honda in 2020 in which no firearm was found.

The Glock was admitted into evidence as State’s Exhibit 831.

Now the BIG question: What will the forensic evidence show about this gun—and does the State connect it to MO3’s murder? 👀

🚨 MO3 TRIAL — ATF K-9 SEARCH

ATF Special Agent Zach Wright is now testifying about a 2023 search connected to the MO3 murder investigation with his explosives-detection K-9, Chewbarka (“Chewy”). 🐕

Wright has now authenticated a 9mm pistol in court.

This comes after jurors previously heard testimony concerning earlier searches of MO3’s gold Honda in 2020 where no firearm was found.

🚨 MO3 TRIAL UPDATE: DET. SETH ROSENBERG IS OFF THE STAND

The defense used its cross-examination of DPD Crime Scene Detective Seth Rosenberg to focus heavily on MO3’s gold Honda and the evidence recovered from 3915 Ramona Avenue.

🔎 THE HONDA: Rosenberg testified that during his Nov. 16, 2020 examination, he searched the vehicle for ballistic evidence—moving items and checking areas throughout the car. He did NOT find a firearm.

The defense also questioned access to the Honda while it was stored at the Dallas Auto Pound. Rosenberg testified employees could access vehicle keys, and he could not say who may have accessed this particular vehicle.

🏠 3915 RAMONA: Rosenberg testified he could not personally say who owned the residence, how many people lived there, or who had access to it. He also could not personally attribute the guns or drugs photographed/recovered there to Kewon White.

On redirect, the State emphasized an important distinction: Rosenberg did not know the entirety of the investigation—his role at the residence was to document and photograph what investigators found.

⚖️ Rosenberg is now OFF the stand.

The question I’m watching: What happened during the later search of MO3’s Honda—and what evidence will the State use to connect the Ramona residence and its contents to Kewon White?

🚨 MO3 TRIAL | SURVEILLANCE VIDEO

The State introduced surveillance video from the Arroyo Apartments showing what prosecutors identify as Mo3 arriving in the gold Honda — with a black Camaro appearing behind him.

Then, on November 11, 2020, the footage shows the gold Honda leaving the complex at approximately 11:45:19 AM.

⏱️ Approximately 20 SECONDS LATER, the black Camaro leaves behind it.

🎥 ARRIVAL: Gold Honda ➡️ Black Camaro
🎥 DEPARTURE: Gold Honda ➡️ Black Camaro

This is the actual surveillance footage the State is using to build its timeline for the jury.

⚖️ Important distinction: the video shows the vehicles and their movements. The State still has the burden of proving who occupied the Camaro and how that vehicle connects to Kewon White and the murder.

👀 But seeing the sequence on VIDEO hits different than simply hearing it described in testimony.

🚨 TRIAL UPDATE — DEFENSE CHALLENGES JOCY’S CLAIM ABOUT WHO KNEW HER ADDRESS

The defense continued pressing Jocy Jackson on one of the State’s important pieces of testimony: her belief that very few people knew where she lived when Mo3 was killed.

Jocy acknowledged that she later learned Brandon Rainwater, Mo3’s manager, knew where she lived and that Mo3 had told Rainwater he was at her house. She also conceded that she doesn’t know who else Mo3 may have told where he was going or what address he was visiting.

The defense then shifted to Jocy’s relationship with Mo3. She testified that he had given her thousands of dollars at times, but pushed back against the suggestion that money was the reason she was loyal to him.

Then came Rainwater. 👀

Jocy testified that Mo3 told her the day before his death that he and Rainwater had gotten into an argument in California. According to Jocy, Mo3 was upset enough that he wanted to punch Rainwater, but she characterized it as a disagreement—not something that made her believe their business relationship was ending.

The defense also confronted her with statements it says she made during a podcast appearance concerning Rainwater. Jocy denied or said she did not remember making several of those statements, but acknowledged:

➡️ She does not like Rainwater’s character.
➡️ She spoke with Rainwater within roughly 24 hours after Mo3’s death.
➡️ She did not personally know Rainwater before Mo3 died, despite having heard about him from Mo3.

⚖️ DEFENSE ANGLE: Challenge Jocy’s certainty that Devin Brown was uniquely positioned to know Mo3 was at her apartment and demonstrate that other people may also have known Mo3’s location.

That distinction could become VERY important when evaluating Jocy’s testimony that her “intuition” immediately pointed her toward Devin.
