I dislike and mistrust all closed systems of thought
I particularly dislike Islam because it demands child marriage, female genital mutilation, the beating of
wives, the killing of infidels, the unending promotion of the worst aspects of the male ego, and a complete refusal to contemplate multiculturism
All of which are contrary to the values I hold
Are you telling me, Maliq, that this all is caused by a fear of the truth ?
1/ The rise in the price cap because of a war we did not choose is deeply unwelcome news for households across the country.
We know people were under pressure before this crisis, and that’s why easing that burden is our number one priority.
This is fantastic progress of a scheme adopted by Boris Johnson’s Tory government but discarded by Starmer. At one time we led the way, now we wallow in a mire of poor decision making.
James did PPE at Oxford, became a local councilor & then an advisor to Sadiq Khan
He has never had a job or hired people
He now runs the world’s 4th largest workforce & a £246bn annual budget
God help us
My real concern lies not with her ability but in the abilities of her MP’s. They turned out to be a backstabbing bunch of non-achievers when Boris was PM.
Questions for @AndyBurnhamGM
1. Will you remove the proscription of Palestine Action?
2. Will you end the abuse of counter-terrorism legislation against activists
3. Will you recognise that Israel has committed genocide?
4. Will you end all UK military engagement with Israel?
Gary, you're not old enough to remember how bleak things were in the 1970s and cutting taxes in the 80s saw the biggest jump in quality of life for the whole country, eventually.
A tiny number of billionaires did not take everyone's money.
Poor government policy allowed corporations to clean everyone out.
Making the rich poor won't fix anything.
We have to make the poor, rich.
The only way to do that is with policies that foster job creation and wage growth.
You could rob all the billionaires of everything, it wont make anyone richer if they don't have jobs.
Being rich is better than being poor, don't you agree?
So rather than making rich people poorer, let's make poor people richer.
Taxing the rich won't make poor people richer, will it.
I only hope that she can follow through on brave new policies and, perhaps even more important, develop a cohesive team of MP’s. Cohesive support wasn’t much in evidence during the time of Boris.
Unpopular opinion: Kemi Badenoch is becoming *really* good at this, and is miles better than Nigel Farage. Farage avoids scrutiny, avoids clarity, is trying to draw together a broad coalition by painting in the vaguest of strokes, where Badenoch is doing the hard work of becoming genuinely competent
Told yesterday of a couple in their 80’s who went to their GP surgery to make an appointment to change her tablets as she has cancer. She was told she couldn’t have an appointment for several weeks. They sat in shock, then a woman who couldn’t speak much English came in to book and was given one the following day.
The gentleman went to complain and was told they get paid £184 to give an appointment to the other lady.
Shocking. 2-tier system.
Wes Streeting will resign as Health Secretary tomorrow and fire the starting gun on the Labour leadership election.
Are you pleased about this?
Yes or no?
Leaving the EU cost the UK billions. Millions are paying the price.
A smart Labour plan would be a pledge to negotiate re-entry. Most Brexit voters are or soon will be dead.
Sane Tory, Lib Dem & Green voters are pro EU. Many would back Labour if it returned what Farage stole.
Too soon to write off Italy. With increased employment and improving job opportunities the birth rate will increase ultimately. As for legal immigration, at the least they increase tax revenue thus helping the economy.
@PhilC273 Absolutely correct. For a more considered approach, vote Restore UK although, my first choice would be Advance UK they really are a bit small and quiet.
