Dramatic clouds this morning on the #Exmoor coast to welcome the month of May, I’ve been waiting for you. Let’s hope rough winds dost not shake your darling buds too much.
A walk to the top of Warmersturt this morning, despite its name I’m glad I took a coat.
The building at the bottom of the valley is a @NorthDevonNT bothy.
A riot of spring colour down at the ‘Wilderness’ @NTArlington.
Bluebells, wild garlic and new beech leaves, wonderful.
A ‘designed landscape’ using nature’s colourful palette.
Lyme Disease is a serious issue for all but not least those of us working with deer. Affected myself in the past all RTs to support this petition for Lyme Disease Centre much appreciated. @BritishDeerSoc @DeerInitiative @BBCCountryfile @BBCSpringwatch https://t.co/0TEzqQW4Nv …
The Victorian Garden at @NTArlington is looking fabulous, it is alive with the sound of bees. Good numbers of butterflies too with orange tip, brimstone, green veined white and holly blues being most prevalent.
Great work from the gardeners and volunteers.
It was once beloved that planting primroses upside down, or in a cow pat, would turn them pink. 🤔
These two are growing happily, side by side, in the middle of our drive at Countisbury , miles from any cultivars. . . must have been a cow pat😐

It’s an unusually good year for goldfinches. . .
I suspect it is also a very good year for the suppliers of niger and sunflower seeds?
Charmed, I’m sure.
