"Sex trafficking is fueled by demand, and no effort to end this global human rights crisis can succeed without actively addressing demand. The Sex Trafficking Demand Reduction Act recognizes that reducing the demand for commercial sex is one of the most critical and effective strategies for preventing exploitation, disrupting trafficking networks, and protecting vulnerable and marginalized individuals worldwide. By requiring the State Department’s Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report to evaluate whether countries are actively working to reduce demand, this legislation strengthens international accountability and advances a more comprehensive approach to eliminating sex trafficking." - Helen Taylor, Vice President of Impact, Exodus Cry

This is a disgrace. These films should be exposed -- not celebrated. Coercion and abuse were widespread in the 70s porn era, and sadly, not much has changed. The porn industry continues to prey on the vulnerable, on both sides of the screen.
Exodus Cry began advocating for age verification laws on 🌽sites in 2021. Now, 24 U.S. states have passed these laws and Phub has left 23 of them!
A lot can change in a few short years.
This tragic case obviously has multiple contributing factors, one of which is porn-fuelled self indulgence and neglect.
This is why we will never stop fighting for a world free from porn.
Doing OnlyFans is not “lucrative” or “empowering” like they would have you think.
We’re actively advocating for laws that will protect vulnerable teens from being exploited in porn. Join us in this fight by giving to our year-end campaign at the link in our bio.
Big WIN for Italian children! As of November 12, porn sites in Italy will be required to verify the age of its users, via a third party platform (users' identities will remain anonymous).
Strangulation during sex is considered the second most common cause of strokes in women under 40.
Violent pornography has normalised it, and that’s why I laid amendments to ban non-fatal strangulation in porn.
The Government voted against it twice. Now they have accepted it must be banned. It shouldn’t have taken months of delay and political pressure to get here, but I’m relieved the ban is coming.
Women in prostitution face a mortality rate 200x higher than the average person.
Imagine any other “job” having that stat?
Now imagine calling that job “empowering.”
We are gravely mistaken if we think the solution to ending sex trafficking can avoid confronting our massive porn problem. Sex buyers aren’t born overnight. They’re bred and groomed by the billion-plus dollar porn industry.
Many people who hear we’re against the full decriminalization of prostitution wrongly assume we stand for putting the women in jail. Absolutely not! We advocate for policies that protect those being sold, offering them resources and social services, and punish those buying and pimping.
