New research: Half of children with a mental health condition in the US go without treatment. The majority of the country faces a severe shortage of practicing child & adolescent psychiatrists, with fewer than 17 providers available per 100,000 kids. https://t.co/eFfZvqvU9k @CNN
Motion to change Valentine’s Day into a day celebrating self-love.
Your partner should be celebrating you everyday of the year and it would be lovely to have an international day encouraging self-worth and validating self-care
@manveerssihota I can’t speak to other training but I had a huge emphasis on cultural competency and if you aren’t knowledgeable to refer the client out or study up to be an effective practitioner.
I’m sorry to hear of your nightmare experience but things are changing!
Got tons of responses to this. Thank you. We all go thru the sludge/shit and depression never discriminates. Took me a long time to realize it but the key is to not be afraid to open up. Especially us dudes have a tendency to keep it in. You’re not alone

Dear Friends,
It’s Ok to heal at your own pace.
You’re allowed to take all the time you need to get over something.
People will try to rush your healing journey & you should kindly say “I’m healing for me, not you... so please give me space & accept my journey.”

I think therapy is more important than the gym yet the gym has cool t-shirts like "beast mode" or "better sore than sorry." Therapy goers need shirts: "can't stop won't stop crying" or "No dad, no problem!"
So all that’s left is happiness in yourself and happiness in friendship, in love of family, in respecting and empathizing with strangers - @austintylerro
Just because something isn’t happening for you right now, doesn’t mean it never will. Keep going because your turn is coming. And if you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for this long in the first place.
