"Gaucho is a word for Latin-American cowboy, but Mr. Fagen and Mr. Becker also use it as a pun on the French word gauche."
—The New York Times (Jan. 18, 1981)
Listening to "Dust On The Wind" (lol) by A.I. band The Velvet Sundowns and reminded again that A.I. "art" always feels like robots making fun of people. Like, this sounds (and looks) like a pretty brilliant parody of a million retro-rock bands from L.A. A rip-off of a rip-off.
"'Blind Spot,' meanwhile, sounds like the soundtrack to a sleazy Paul Schrader erotic thriller, mixed with the romantic dissolution of his 1987 'divorce' record, Tunnel of Love." —@Steven_Hyden 🔥
