@HemmenKees I agree with the point, but for a fair comparison should probably list all the current U28 players. e.g. Antony (NGE), Malacia (? IP), Altay (?)
Normally a large portion of a "new manager bounce" is simply goals scored regressing to xG. I'm really hoping the underlyings improve under new management as well as the results
Just 7 points behind 4th which is good and our xG conversion being -6.6 (the worst in the league) should improve...hopefully. Also, the players didn't give up under ETH and were still creating great chances till the end. There is a platform there despite the problems.
@UtdDistrict Not once to they check with the ref what his interpretation of the situation is. How can they assess whether he's made a (clear and obvious) mistake if they don't ask him why he's made that decision? If the ref watches a single replay he realises Bruno hasn't gone in studs up
@amonizfootball I feel like I'm going insane. Say Fernandes scores his free kick instead of hitting the bar and we win 1-0, does that make Ten Hag a better coach? Of course not. Why do people talk like the decision should be made based on any one game instead of performances over the last year?
@scoutedftbl It's one of the things I respect about Haaland. He could have *probably* gone straight to a big club and worked his way to being a starter but he chose to take the incremental steps up through Europe to get there instead
🚨 The most improbable transfer of the window:
▫️Victor Osimhen 🇳🇬 Galatasaray
▫️Sébastien Haller 🇨🇮 Leganés
▫️Maxime Lopez 🇫🇷 Paris FC
▫️James Rodriguez 🇨🇴 Rayo
▫️Youssoufa Moukoko 🇩🇪 Nice
@amonizfootball@HemmenKees Seventy freaking million man
That's the fee we paid Real and also roughly what we'll end up paying him over his contract on top...
@amonizfootball He made me completely reassess how I view transfers in terms of squad fit and how physicals / technicals translate across leagues. I'll never forget that lesson 🫡
@htomufc He'll be the second player to play for City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal after Anelka, unless they also bring Sturridge out of retirement for striker depth lol
@GraceOnFootball It's similar to how I feel about Sterling. If he went to United, he'd crash and burn quite easily in the environment, but at Arsenal, it might just be right for it to work out.
@amonizfootball Transfermarkt has him at 33rd for United PL appearances, 10th out of all academy graduates. If that's not making it, I'm not sure what is
@amonizfootball He's gonna be 28 later this year and has 1+1 left on his contract, selling now makes sense. I think it's just people aren't used to United making sales that make sense 😅
